On Monday, July 18, AT the air port In Jasionka landed a 12 person group of pilgrims from Canada.

The next week they will live in families with Jasło.

Carer group is Fr. Dariusz Misiołek, pastor of the parish. St. Vincent de Paul in Halifax. Pilgrims are young people of this parish. Fr.Misiołek stresses that it is the young people alone came up with the idea to participate in the meeting of young people from all over the world.

They wanted to come here, when they learned that the World Youth Day will be in Poland. They want to be in Rzeszow and Krakow. It is their initiative and hard work done to be here – says Fr. Misiołek.

Young Canadians arrived to Polish with the hope of meeting the living Church.

– I wanted to come here, to feel the Community Church in Poland and meet with Pope Francis. In Canada, I am responsible for preparing young people in the parish. I am also a member of the liturgical service of the altar – says Nick.

In the group of Canadians it is also Adriana, who has already had the opportunity to be in our country.

-A large part of my family lives in Poland. I was here last time when I was 3 years old. Now, I came here for the first time as an adult, in order to live with other Christians a spiritual community. I would like here to feel like as a family – says Adriana.

Responsible for the group will be Fr. Filip Mikuła, vicar of Jaslo.
